Some very welcome volunteers – shared by Nola

A massive thanks to Lea and her colleagues at Mace who chose The Dings for their (very wet !) volunteering day today.

  • our rusty trolly is now a fabulous shiny festive red

  • the ballcourt has been swept ready for boxing next week

  • the strip beside the ball court has been weeded and chopped back, and

  • the garden rubbish on Union Street has been moved to the pile on Oxford Street.

Recipe Bags – shared by Nola

Recipe bags went out – kidney bean and sweet potato stew was the recipe this month. With thanks to Deliveroo Hop for donating the food, Sal for collating & Michelle and kids for the very efficient distribution system

Happy cooking all.

One person has already cooked theirs and said it was delicious

From The Dings to The Cosmos! This latest photo, taken from my back garden, shows The Triangulum Galaxy. It’s the third largest galaxy in the Local Group, after The Andromeda Galaxy and our very own Milky Way. It’s 2.73 million light-years from Earth, and contains around 40 billion stars.

Development News

Despite impending closure next year, a Bristol nightclub has been recognised among the world’s best. Motion in Bristol is one of only seven clubs in the UK to feature in the ‘World’s 100 Best Nightclubs’ list for 2024, securing the 29th spot.
